Historic Ilasco- Home of the Missouri Statue of Liberty

The Village of ILASCO was created when large numbers of immigrants came to work at the newly built Atlas Portland Cement Plant near Hannibal, MO in 1903.  On the National Register of Historic Places, it was home to thousands of immigrants from Romania, Slovakia, Italy, Poland, Croatia, Hungary, and Ukraine.

Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum

The frame house known as the Mark Twain Boyhood Home was constructed about 1843 -1844. The Clemens family lived here until leaving town in 1853. Today the home of the great American writer can be toured along with its exploratory museums.

Mark Twain Riverboat

The Mark Twain Riverboat brings the mystique of the Mississippi River and the history of Hannibal to life through one-hour sightseeing cruises, two-hour dinner cruises, and the Captain's Sunday Lunch events.

Historic Main Street in downtown Hannibal boasts a number of specialty shoppes & dining experiences along with numerous annual festivals.  From Twain on Main in May to the Harvest Hootenanny in September, there's something for everyone here in our hometown!
